Residential Architecture (20th Century)

The residential architecture of the twentieth century, like all the architecture of this century, underwent important changes that accompanied the exponential evolution of constructive techniques and social conventions. These changes are particularly reflected in domestic architecture, particularly in single-family dwellings, an architectural theme often used as a manifest field for new formal grammars and new ways of life.

In this section, through the works of the students, we will try to document some paradigmatic cases of Portuguese residential architecture of the twentieth century, in particular in the city of Coimbra.
